Exams etc.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend... The reason I am publishing this article today is that my students will be undertaking their first evaluations of the school year, there are exams coming up and you should prepare for them. I know that you have heard that before but let me repeat it to you one more time if you don't mind :-). Contrarily to what you may think, English is a school subject you can study. In class, I gave you references such as: your personal notes (in your Canada notebook), the workbook we regularly use in class, the novel we have been reading, the exercises we did and corrected (you should practice again these exercises if it was rather difficult for you) and finally, dropping by at lunchtime when I'm available for remedial sessions in classroom 058 : sec. 1 -- day 1 and sec. 5 on day 6.

Finally, don't hesitate to ask for help...

- Involve your parents in the process.

- Set up some "study sessions" with your friends (instead of wasting your time at lunchtime at school for example).

- Visit the websites I suggested in the "Best Links" box of this blog.

- Write me an email anytime to ask me ANY question (even the one you might think is stupid, it cannot be): nancy.grenier@i-champigny.ca.

- Make up your own study summary using colours to show links between ideas.

Above all, be proactive in your exam preparation and start ahead of time, not two days before!

Good luck in all your exams!
